About this event
Country music and a whole lot of Nashville twang comes together at the Gap Theatre on Thursday, November 12, at 7:30pm with NASHVILLE REBEL (1966), screening from a rare 35mm Technicolor print!
Directed by Jay Sheridan and starring country music legend Waylon Jennings, NASHVILLE REBEL follows an aspiring country singer who heads to Nashville in pursuit of musical success, encountering the colorful characters, honky-tonks, and hard realities of the country music business along the way.
Featuring musical performances by Waylon Jennings, Tex Ritter, Loretta Lynn, Porter Wagoner, and other country acts, NASHVILLE REBEL is a rare slice of vintage country-music cinema—and an especially unusual opportunity to see it projected in 35mm Technicolor for its 60th anniversary!
