About this event
By Annie Baker
Directed by Seannie Cahill-Swenson
It’s summertime in Shirley, Vermont. A community center’s adult acting class meets for 6 weeks to play a variety of theatre games. Thanks to the games themselves and the moments in between them, walls fall, secrets are revealed, and bonds are built and broken as each character stumbles through the class. Intimate, poignant, and gently humorous dialogue reveals how eclectic this group really is. Touching and vulnerable, this naturalistic dramedy explores how seemingly mundane interactions can have lasting impacts.
