Allentown Holiday Tree Lighting*

About this event

Allentown’s Tree Lighting Celebration There’s something special about the first night the Christmas tree lights up.

Join us Saturday, December 5, from 4:00–6:00 PM at The Arts Park for Allentown’s Tree Lighting Celebration, a free holiday tradition where families, friends, and neighbors come together to welcome the season.

Hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Allentown, with PPL Powering the Season as our Presenting Sponsor, the evening will be filled with all the things that make this time of year feel a little more magical.

Enjoy live holiday performances, cozy fire pits and s’mores, hot chocolate and seasonal treats, family activities, giveaways, local vendors, and, of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Then, as the sun goes down, gather around for the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the lighting of the Allentown Christmas Tree.

It’s the kind of evening meant for making memories. Bring the kids, bring your friends, bundle up, and spend a little time together downtown.

And don’t hurry home when the lights come on. Make an evening of it in Downtown Allentown. Stop in for dinner, grab a holiday treat, do a little shopping, meet up with friends or take a stroll through downtown and see what else is waiting around the corner. The Tree Lighting is just one part of the holiday magic happening throughout our city.
