  • The Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley will move from its Emmaus site to a larger facility (417 N. 14th St.) in Allentown in March 2026 to serve over 3,000 pets each month. Pet food distributions will continue at the current location through February.  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Auto Mania, the state’s largest indoor auto flea market event, opened at noon Friday at the Allentown Fairgrounds. Hundreds of vendors offered car parts, collectibles and more while Lions Club members collected donations for local causes.  69 News

  • Mary Ann Donut Kitchen in Allentown sent dozens of donuts to Stephen Colbert and his Late Show staff on Thursday after native Amanda Seyfried mentioned the shop during her TV appearance. The delivery highlighted the local business + increased its buzz on social media.  69 News

  • Folino Estate in Kutztown was named Pennsylvania Winery of the Year and celebrated its 10th anniversary as its Pinot Noir Rosé earned a gold medal and Best in Category at the American Wine Society Competition — marking a milestone for the local winery.  Lehigh Valley Business

  • Lehigh Valley Public Media laid off nearly half its staff Friday due to rising costs, falling revenue, and reduced federal support. The organization will shift to a newsletter-led model (including podcasts, video, and digital formats) to continue sharing local news and stories.  69 News

  • Springhouse Middle School announced its first marking period honor roll today, recognizing numerous students in Grades 6-8 for strong academic performance.  Lehigh Valley Press

  • Eighteen local conservation and recreation projects have been awarded more than $6.3M in state grants to improve parks, trails + outdoor spaces in Lehigh and Northampton counties.   • Pennie officials extended enrollment until January 31 so residents can review health plan options as premiums nearly triple after ACA subsidies lapse. Emmaus and Whitehall residents say the rising costs force hard choices and help is available when calling for support.  69 News

  • Realtors say the housing market in the Lehigh Valley is beginning to shift toward a buyers market as prices drop slightly and sales have increased over the last three months.   • Bethlehem Catholic wrestlers will compete in their final regular season tournament at Council Rock South for Escape the Rock this weekend.
