- ➤ Bakeries across the Lehigh Valley are preparing for Fastnacht Day today by spreading orders from Thursday through Tuesday to ease the rush; Naz-O-Nuts expects to fry over 10,000 fastnachts while Egypt Star Bakery crews work nonstop + welcome walk-in customers until 12:00 p.m. 69 News
- ➤ The IronPigs' annual Fastnacht Day tradition returns for its 6th year — orders for fried potato doughnuts and special apparel are available at Coca-Cola Park, with pickup Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday for remaining orders. 69 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City crews are still clearing roads after a January snowstorm, as freezing temperatures have stalled melting. Crews worked Monday on N 6th St near Justice Hayes's home and are now focused on schools + hospitals while advising residents to be patient if their priority street has not yet been reached. 69 News

- ➤ River Crossing YMCA cut the ribbon on its upgraded wellness center today in Allentown & celebrated the launch of expanded wellness services for the local community. 69 News
- ➤ LVHN is upgrading its Family Birth and Newborn Center at Pocono campus with private rooms replacing shared ones + additional labor and delivery rooms will be completed in 2027 with help from local donors. Lehigh Valley Business
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Blue Mountain (in Carbon County) opened at 8 a.m. Monday for Presidents Day and saw heavy crowds amid a season strengthened by recent snowstorms; the resort will host Winterfest next weekend (Feb. 21-22) with live music, a U.S. Luge team-built track, and snowmaking tours. 69 News
