  • After a yearlong closure due to fire damage, The Bacon Strip reopened Feb. 17 at 18 N. Second St. in Coplay. Mayor Bundra, his wife, and Police Chief Emrich joined a ribbon-cutting ceremony as patrons lined up early that morning to enjoy breakfast favorites.  Lehigh Valley Press
  • Students at Parkland School District sorted over 12,000 food items collected in just two weeks to support families facing food insecurity; the food is set to stock school pantries and serve about 216 families each month + inspire local advocacy.  69 News

  • Gas prices in the Lehigh Valley edged up last week, with the local average rising to $3.091 per gallon while the nationwide average reached $2.94 amid higher demand and lower oil supplies, according to AAA and EIA; crude inventories fell by 9-million-barrel levels.  Lehigh Valley Business
  • The National Energy Improvement Fund financed $220M in 2025—supporting energy efficiency upgrades, safety, and comfort across 46 states with most funds directed to HVAC and electrification improvements while also launching preferred investment options for broader financing support.  Lehigh Valley Business
  • Today, Governor Shapiro and DCED Secretary Rick Siger announced over $31 million in PA SITES grants to seven projects, including three in the Lehigh Valley, to create shovel-ready industrial sites.   • On Wednesday, the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners approved a scholarship program funded by the DA’s opioid settlement dollars for residents who have faced opioid-related hardships, with up to $150,000 available through the Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation to support GED, ESL, certificate, and degree training.  69 News
