CRIME NEWS
- ➤ LaTarsha Brown, a 42-year-old city employee and school board member, was charged Monday with making false reports and tampering with evidence after she reported finding a noose on her desk at City Hall—DNA tests linked the noose to her while samples from nine other employees showed no match. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday, Allentown held its 70th anniversary St Patrick's Day Parade in the West End with more than 90 community groups that included pipe bands and Irish dance teams. Organizers said the event marked a weekend of celebrations with a Cultural Community Day, a 5K race and the crowning of this year's parade king and queen—highlighting the city's long Irish heritage. - ➤ Lehigh Valley Health Network announced on Monday that Spirit Halloween raised $1 million for its Child Life Program at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital—funds that will be used to purchase video game systems, a VR headset for MRIs and giant fish tanks to help reduce the fear of treatment among children. The hospital will make these improvements to enhance the patient experience. 69 News
