ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters rescued a man from a second-story window, another from the same opening, and a third from the back of a burning home on the 9000 block of North Emery Street last Friday; five people were taken to the hospital as the fire marshal investigated the blaze.  69 News

  • The Allentown Symphony Orchestra held its second America 250 concert Tuesday night at Resurrected Life Church, featuring nine local composers who celebrated the nation’s birthday by drawing on local history & American narratives.  69 News
  • Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown is nominated for two awards at USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for its Runaway River and wave pool; voting has been open since March 23 and ends on April 20 at 11:59 a.m. with winners announced April 29 at 12:00 p.m.  Lehigh Valley Business
  • Performers are announcing their own shows at SteelStacks as ArtsQuest delays its full summer lineup.   • Gas prices in the Lehigh Valley reached $3.93 per gallon on March 23, up from $3.69 on March 16, according to AAA East Central's report. The rise follows a national trend driven by seasonal demand and supply issues from the Iran situation.  Lehigh Valley Business
  • The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission reviewed Eli Lilly’s plan to build a 925,000 sqft campus in Upper Macungie Township on Tuesday afternoon. The project is set to open in 2031 and could create 850 jobs while raising concerns about truck traffic and road access.  69 News

  • A redevelopment project in Catasauqua got $3.7M in federal funding for work on the historic Crane Iron Company site.
