  • Residents at Phoebe Richland formed a bell choir on the Richlandtown campus after a resident with a background in bells suggested the idea in 2023, and their first performance of Christmas carols took place on December 21. The group, which now includes 13 seniors—aged 74 to 105—will perform at various holidays throughout the year.  Lehigh Valley Business

CRIME NEWS

  • Ex-Allentown police officer Jason Krasley, 48, faces multiple felony charges including rape, indecent assault and sexual assault after two new victims came forward during a sting operation while current police sergeant Evan Weaver is charged in one case.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • Coca-Cola Park staff prepared for the IronPigs season opener on Friday night at 6:05 p.m. against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, adding a refreshed People First Plaza and an extended clubhouse store—along with new food options and team giveaways.  69 News
  • During the 2024-25 season, Muhlenberg’s first varsity women’s wrestling team qualified for the NCWWC Championships and had two athletes earn NCAA Scholar All-American honors while freshman Kelsey Gelb pinned 16 times in 21 wins. The men's team earned the eighth-highest GPA in the nation and saw nine wrestlers recognized as NCAA DIII Men's Scholar All-Americans — with senior Andrew Franklin named Centennial Conference Wrestling Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  Muhlenberg College
  • On Friday, the IronPigs won 5-4 over the RailRiders in their season opener—drawing an excited crowd with families enjoying the fun game experience. They will play two more games against the RailRiders before taking on the Syracuse Mets.  69 News
  • Friday night, fans at the PPL Center cheered as Penn State played in the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Regional, which helped local businesses. Sunday at 4:30 p.m. either Penn State or Maine will face UConn, and a win by Penn State over Maine will give the underdog a chance at the Frozen Four while a loss ends their run.  69 News
