ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Slate Belt Regional PD identified Jeffrey A. Marsh—59 from Bushkill Township—as the motorcyclist who died when his bike was struck by an SUV on Sullivan Trail in Plainfield Township Saturday, March 29, and officers later took the SUV driver into custody on suspicion of DUI.  Daily Voice
  • On Sunday morning, Pennsylvania State Police reported that a 24-year-old woman from New Jersey drove her 2019 Honda HRV the wrong way on the northbound lanes of I-476 near the Lehigh Valley Tunnel and struck two motorcycles, killing a 50-year-old man and injuring a 24-year-old man — officers detoured traffic until the scene was cleared at 1:20 p.m. and the investigation continues.  69 News
  • On Sunday morning, a video showed a 24-year-old woman from Perth Amboy driving the wrong way on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Washington Township (witness Jack Carroll recorded the incident) before she struck two motorcycle riders, killing one and injuring another as police investigated the fatal crash.  69 News

  • Allentown police investigated a Saturday shooting on North Jordan Street that injured a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound around 3:45 p.m. and are asking witnesses to share any information.  Lehigh Valley Live

CULTURE NEWS

  • Eighth-generation farmer Grayce Emmick has donated a restored blue 1984 Mack R Model truck to the Mack Trucks Historical Museum at 2402 Lehigh Parkway South in Allentown—she spent a year restoring it with a focus on original parts and modern updates. The truck, once used by Johnny Prescott and Son Oil—now joins other historic vehicles on display for visitors.  WLVR

  • The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission released updated Biologist Reports that detail findings on species and sizes in local waterways, including survey data from Chambers Lake and the Delaware River.
