  • Two local veterans launched Bring Our Veterans Home Initiative to raise $500,000 for transitional housing; they converted a childhood home in Easton into a three-bedroom living space now serving seven veterans and plan to add more properties across nearby counties — a project fueled by personal experience.  69 News
  • Easter is near and shoppers are gathering at Allentown Farmers Market for last-minute purchases (open until 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and Saturday until 6 p.m.). Families buy produce, meats, and treats as vendors prepare to celebrate the holiday at the downtown market.  69 News
  • Alyssa Dilsaver Helwig (a Nazareth native and senior engineering manager at Boeing) led over 200 engineers on NASA's Artemis II mission that sent a four-person crew on a 10-day orbit around the moon yesterday.  69 News
  • Coopersburg’s Troop 364 lost its trailer in a crash last November and is raising funds through a GoFundMe – aiming for about $10,000 – to replace it before summer camp in July while they work through insurance and legal issues.  69 News

  • The new book Little Edna's War, released on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, details Edna Brill's remarkable WWII journey as a child resistance fighter awarded a Cross of Valor + her family's lasting tribute to her legacy in Allentown.  69 News
  • Local Legends Live will feature bands from the Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. on the Service Electric Grandstand Stage at the Great Allentown Fair. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10 and include fair admission plus discount ride tickets.  69 News
  • The Allentown Fair will host its first grandstand wrestling event in 32 years on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds (with a fan meet-and-greet from 6-7 p.m.) and tickets will go on sale April 10 at 10 a.m. at the box office on N. 17th St.  Lehigh Valley News

  • The Pennsylvania Treasury’s Money Match program sent over 100,000 checks on Friday to return up to $500 in unclaimed funds (covering dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, and forgotten stocks) to rightful owners. Most recipients can expect delivery 45 days later.  Lehigh Valley Live
