- ➤ Gas prices have fallen after several weeks of increases, with Pennsylvania prices dropping 4.3 cents to $3.360 per gallon and the Lehigh Valley averaging $3.215 on April 15 compared to $3.289 a week earlier. - ➤ Crews will soon install speed cushions near schools and parks at 20 locations as part of the Safe Streets initiative, Allentown Public Works Director Mark Shahda said. Officials unveiled the plan at City Hall and are seeking additional grants to fund further traffic-calming measures — the city aims to reduce serious injuries and deaths on local streets.
