  • United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley raised a record $27.7 million in its annual campaign from April 2025 to March 2026—supporting education, food access and healthy aging programs for nearly 43,000 students and families.   • Gas prices in Pennsylvania are above $4 for the first time since 2022, with the state average rising to $4.152 this week according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report & the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton area seeing Monday’s average at $4.114, 21 cents higher than last week.  Parkland Press

  • On March 30, Cedar Crest College hosted its inaugural Tech & Talent Summit at the Tompkins Center where industry and academic leaders discussed workforce technology needs and hiring challenges.   • Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk postponed a planned eviction of homeless residents’ tents along Little Lehigh Creek scheduled for Monday, April 20 (near Fountain Park) after a review found that key officials and service providers were not consulted.
