- ➤ East Allen Township officials improved the 24-acre Habitat Park section of Bicentennial Park for Earth Day (April 22) by planting native species. The township canceled a planned planting day on April 25 due to rain but invites future volunteer help. Lehigh Valley Press

- ➤ The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum hosted historian Robert Dunkerly—an expert on Revolutionary War battles—who presented a slide-lecture and signed his book 'Decision at Brandywine' to about 135 visitors. - ➤ In Catasauqua, historic reenactors revived revolutionary history at the George Taylor House on April 18, where visitors watched militia drills and weapon demonstrations. - ➤ At the Salisbury Township Board meeting on April 22 at the administration office, Dr. Tracey Jacobi explained the district’s special education services, noting a 25.5% special ed rate and related funding challenges; the board will meet again at 7 p.m. May 13 at 1140 Salisbury Road. - ➤ Emmaus High School named a student of the week on April 29 when a senior was recognized for academic success and active involvement in clubs (including varsity baseball and leadership roles) and announced plans to attend Penn State Smeal Business School for actuarial science. - ➤ At an April 16 meeting, Upper Milford Township supervisors approved a letter of support for a Western Lehigh Greenway feasibility study costing about $150,000 (with Upper Milford paying roughly $1,500) shared with two Macungie townships.
