  • Saint Andrew’s Nursery School held its Spring Art Show on Saturday, featuring drawings, paintings, and hand-built projects by local children. The event celebrated a year of creative work at the school in Allentown.  69 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Easton Area School District is set to raise property taxes 3.5% for the 2026-27 school year, but board members urged a review after revealing the district has used $42 million in reserves. The board postponed its vote and will revisit the proposal in May.  Lehigh Valley Live

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • American Rivers reported that 100 dams were removed nationwide in 2025 to restore habitats, and Pennsylvania led with 14 removals in a year of record progress. Conservation crews will continue to remove aging dams to improve safety and reconnect river miles.  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Now in May, wildflowers such as golden alexanders, buttercups & wild mustards bloom in yards, fields and along woodland edges, drawing hummingbirds and other birds to local landscapes. Native viburnums and elderberries add extra color and support for wildlife.  Lehigh Valley Live
