- ➤ Northampton Area School District approved a preliminary 2026-27 budget on Monday by a 5-4 vote that raises taxes 4.2%, cuts 30 positions (administrators, aides, teachers, tech staff) and reduces salaries by $2.6 million to trim a $12.7 million deficit; a final budget vote is in June. 69 News
- ➤ On Tuesday night, the Parkland School District board approved a 2026-27 budget that raises property taxes by 3.5% to help close a $15.6 million gap and tabled a tax incentive aimed at attracting a $3.5 billion Eli Lilly plant at Fogelsville Corporate Center, with a final vote next month. 69 News

- ➤ East Penn Manufacturing held its first Power2Recycle drive-thru event in Lyon Station on April 25, collecting 307 vehicles and 828 lead batteries. The event offered double reimbursement and family-friendly giveaways to encourage local recycling and environmental care. 69 News
