Three residents escaped a North Whitehall house fire just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday when a Dodge pickup crashed into a utility pole, sparking a power line that caused the blaze and left about 500 homes without power— the driver was cited for careless driving.

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Industrial Drive in Bethlehem on May 15, and police later identified the driver after finding the suspect vehicle on Avon Road — no arrests have been made.

Allentown will host Fiesta on Hamilton as a free block party on Sunday, May 18 from 1 to 7 p.m.—the event will take over Hamilton Street from 9th to 11th Street and feature live performances by Oro Sólido and Los Adolescentes, local food vendors, and family health activities.
