  • The 173rd Allentown Fair at the Fairgrounds will run from Aug 27 through Labor Day Monday, Sept 1 and offer free shows including a circus, a butterfly exhibit, animal acts and paddling pigs—along with headliner concerts by Heart, Alabama, Kane Brown and Gabriel Iglesias.   • A new $75,000 full-court basketball court will be built in Stevens Park in Allentown funded by The Allentown Parknership—construction will start by June and finish this summer to give local residents a quality place to play.  69 News

  • RobotLAB is introducing advanced robot solutions to help local businesses boost efficiency in retail, hospitality and manufacturing—founders Jagriti and Kripa Dawar are meeting potential clients at chamber events across Eastern Pennsylvania and have already secured contracts with major hotel chains to use their robots for tasks like delivery and cleaning.  Lehigh Valley Business
  • PPL Electric said that rising electric generation costs are driving a planned rate increase for residential customers from 10.771¢/kWh to 12.490¢/kWh and for small business customers from 10.446¢/kWh to 12.114¢/kWh, with the new prices set to take effect on June 1. The company explained that rising costs come from retiring power plants and few new projects in the PJM region (a trend first seen in December) and added it will offer bill help programs (such as budget billing and flexible payment plans) to support customers.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • ArtsQuest in partnership with the city announced a free summer concert series launching in June at Union Terrace Amphitheater with concerts scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. The series will feature acts spanning funk, reggae, Latin-Merengue and classic rock, including a Billy Joel tribute and Orleans with 1970s hits, to offer live music for a range of fans throughout the summer.  Lehigh Valley News
