- ➤ Today, Political Pulse host Tom Shortell and political scientist Chris Borick discussed the Lehigh Valley primary elections and recent debates for mayor in Allentown and Bethlehem. - ➤ Polling places in the Lehigh Valley had very light early turnout on primary election day—Bethlehem recorded only five votes by noon while an Allentown site saw 28 voters before 10:30 a.m.; officials noted that approximately 48,000 mail-in ballots have been sent and more votes may be counted as they arrive. - ➤ LANTA said it must cut bus service by 20% — raise fares by 25% — in January if extra state funding does not come. The agency faces an $11 million gap and will limit evening and weekend service and Shared Ride for Seniors access. WLVR
