Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 16th of June.
Good morning, Allentown.
🏘️ Community
Yesterday, the Allentown Rescue Mission hosted its second annual Father's Day cookout where fathers facing homelessness reunited with their children while volunteers set up grills, chairs, tables, and balloons in rainy weather.
John Lozowsky said he felt honored to be a dad as he plans to start work next week and save for an apartment—continuing the mission’s goal to rescue, rehabilitate and restore.
WFMZ is sharing a collection of Father's Day photos submitted by viewers from Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton that capture happy family moments and fond memories.
The images show a range of celebrations, with some submissions including personal messages that honor both joyful times and losses.
