- ➤ Police said that a motorcycle and a car collided on American Parkway Bridge Wednesday morning — the motorcycle rider was seriously injured and the car driver suffered minor injuries — and the roadway reopened after emergency crews cleared the site. 69 News
- ➤ Police said that on Thursday, June 26, 2025, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car on the American Parkway Bridge in Allentown—local traffic was detoured and the bridge reopened at 9:45 a.m.—the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment while the car driver suffered minor injuries. - ➤ Allentown police arrested six people when they tried to apprehend wanted man Anthony George Fata, who fled into a house at 5:11 p.m. on June 24 at the 200 block of North 8th Street—officers recovered multiple firearms and later charged others with assaulting officers. 69 News

- ➤ An anonymous letter circulated in Plainfield Township claimed that residents will face a 230% tax increase if WM's Grand Central Landfill closes without a replacement — a claim some residents dispute while company representatives say the facility has about four more years of capacity. - ➤ Simone Collins Landscape Architecture is nearly done with its first draft of a parks master plan to guide Allentown's park development for the next 15 years.
