- ➤ A 25-year-old motorcyclist from Allentown, identified as Stanley Aviles-Espaillat, died after a high-speed collision on West Tilghman Street Sunday—police said the crash occurred around 3:20 a.m. when his bike crossed into oncoming traffic after a car attempted a U-turn. Lehigh Valley Live
- ➤ Lehigh County officials identified 20-year-old Gavin J. Long from Middle Paxton Township as having died in a three-vehicle crash along I-78 in Salisbury Township on Aug. 3 after his motorcycle collided with a Volvo semi-trailer + a Cadillac Escalade and he was pronounced dead at 11:15 a.m. Lehigh Valley Live

- ➤ On Monday, Aug. 4, free music acts played on 16 stages at Musikfest Fest in Show in Bethlehem with performances by ArtsQuest Lilly Moss, Billy Bauer Band, Katie Henry, Chasing Daylight, and DJ Bez Musiq. The festival ran for 11 days and featured more than 400 acts—bringing a wide range of local talent to fans. Lehigh Valley News

- ➤ Vincent Forlenza ’75 donated $5M to Lehigh to create a merit-based scholarship program in the College of Health — the program offers tuition awards and mentoring to help students prepare for leadership in health care.
