  • In Paradise Township, a 6-year-old boy died after being struck in the head by a skid steer—operated by a 14-year-old who was lowering the machine’s arms as the child tried to exit it—on August 8.  Daily Voice
  • A 71-year-old driver struck two pedestrians, seriously injuring them while trying to park at Elias Farmers Market at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday—she then crashed into the market building—and remains at the scene cooperating with police.  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Bethlehem police said two adults were shot outside Sizzling Bites Halal Grill on August 8 at 12:12 a.m. when shots fired injured one victim taken by EMS and another who arrived in a private vehicle — both remain in stable condition and no arrests have been made.  Daily Voice
  • Susan Henderson, 67, died when a fleeing driver crashed into her car on Hecktown Road in Lower Nazareth Township on Aug. 27 while she was en route to pick up her granddaughter on her first day of kindergarten—driver Daneiris Abreu pleaded guilty and received consecutive prison sentences for charges including Homicide by Vehicle.  Daily Voice
