- ➤ The Greater Lehigh Valley and River Crossing YMCA is offering support to about 100 people who must leave the Jordan Creek encampment by August 25 due to flooding risks — city and county officials are partnering with the YMCA to open its warming station early to shelter up to 60 people as the first step in a broader plan. 69 News

- ➤ Four individuals were arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence after a 29-year-old man was fatally stabbed at Synergy Hookah Lounge in June 2023 — court records show they received summonses to appear for charges of misdemeanor evidence tampering. Lehigh Valley Live
- ➤ Whitehall Township authorities reported that driver Etienne Theagene surrendered Thursday and was arraigned before District Judge Todd Hefflefinger on charges including homicide by vehicle after he hit 75-year-old pedestrian Edward Tomcics on Christmas Day at about 6:50 p.m.—the investigation noted that driving above the 25 mph limit did not allow enough time to avoid the fatal collision. 69 News
- ➤ Two brothers from Allentown were arrested on Aug. 14 after police executed search warrants at their homes—seizing nine kilos of cocaine worth more than $500,000 and cash—and they now face charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy, and simple possession. Daily Voice
