  • On Sunday night, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Allentown hosted a festival—offering Middle Eastern food, music, and desserts to raise funds for victims of the attack on Prophet Elias Church in Syria.   • Met-Ed energized the new Klecknersville Substation to reduce outage risks and ease load on Northwood Substation for 5,400 customers in Northampton County.   • Allentown police are searching for Arabelliz Ovjio, an 80-year-old woman with dementia who left her home without her caretaker’s knowledge after her family recently moved here—she was last seen wearing faded blue and white jeans, black shoes, and a light green tank top and beret.  69 News
  • Ed Margavich, an 80 year old Croydon firefighter who served since 1960, died after being injured while responding to a van fire that spread to a nearby home on Aug. 8—officials said the blaze was arson and two other firefighters were injured.  Daily Voice

  • Moravian University announced today that it received final approval to merge Lancaster Theological Seminary with Moravian Theological Seminary into a new School of Theology.
