- ➤ Cole D. Hausman, an 18-year-old from Weisenberg Township, died on August 24 after his vehicle left the road and struck several trees (near Route 100 and Lyon Valley Road in Lowhill Township) at 10:36 p.m., and state police are investigating the accident. Lehigh Valley Press

- ➤ Burlington Stores will expand in Bucks and Lehigh counties in the coming months — a new store at 1015 N. Main St. in Warrington Township will open at 9 a.m. Sept. 19 with a ribbon-cutting at 8:30 a.m., and another store in Salisbury Township will open this fall in a former Stein Mart site. 69 News
