COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On Sunday, dozens of people gathered at the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem for International Overdose Awareness Day to honor 184 overdose victims in the Lehigh Valley—Linda Johnson organized the event to support families and urge those battling addiction to seek help.  69 News
  • Hunters Sharing the Harvest donated 283,789 pounds of venison during the 2024—25 season, which provided about 1.1 million servings of lean meat to families in need statewide. In the Lehigh Valley, Frable's Deer Processing and Hillside Smokehouse contributed 1,063 and 176 pounds respectively, and the program is seeking a new processor in Northampton soon.  WLVR
  • The Kellyn Foundation will host a free fall harvest festival on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Llantrisant Event Venue on Bushkill St—featuring healthy food, local craft, live music, hayrides, and activities that support community programs.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • On Sunday, more than 100 curators, creators, and collectors gathered at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem to showcase artisanal crafts and young entrepreneurs at the Belleville Street Faire — an event highlighting local creative talent.  69 News
  • At the Allentown Fair on Aug. 30, fans saw Quiet Riot, Ace Frehley, and Great White perform heavy metal songs that recalled classic 1980s rock—Frehley faced sound dropouts and equipment glitches but powered through with humor and grit. His set featured memorable KISS hits and proved that live music can overcome technical problems.  Lehigh Valley News
