ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 24-year-old Northampton motorcyclist died after a crash in Salisbury Township on Tuesday night at around 11 p.m.—debris was scattered and roads closed while officials investigated the accident. 69 News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ AblePay Health was recognized on Sept. 3 for the fourth consecutive year on the Inc. 5000 list, ranking No. 440 overall and No. 46 in healthcare—showing its rapid growth. The company works with local healthcare providers to improve affordable care and streamline payments. 69 News
- ➤ Chipotle will open Wednesday at 2445 Butler St in Wilson Borough as the new restaurant features a Chipotlane drive-thru for digital orders and will hire about 30 employees—moving into a space once occupied by an Arby’s. The opening makes it the ninth Chipotle in the region and comes ahead of another planned site in Forks Township opening next summer. Lehigh Valley Live

- ➤ Charles Bierbauer, a longtime CNN correspondent who grew up in Allentown and earned journalism degrees from Penn State, died Friday at his home in Spruce Pine — he was celebrated for covering major political events and later leading the USC journalism program. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Bethlehem Area School District will host a Senior College Application Fair on Sept. 18 at Liberty High School’s Memorial Gym from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and at Freedom High School’s Main Gym from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.—the event lets high school students apply to about 60 colleges at no cost. - ➤ Allentown City Council and Duane Morris LLP representatives will hold a news conference today at 11 a.m. + they will review findings from an investigation into discrimination allegations against the mayor and his administrators following Ordinance 16094 passed in January. 69 News
- ➤ Gene and Debbie Weierbach of North Whitehall have hired a public interest law firm to challenge zoning rules that were used against their 24-year auto repair shop after a dispute with township Supervisor Dennis Klusaritz—neighbors noted the shop had no complaints and supported its operation—attorneys from the Institute for Justice say the constitutional challenge seeks to let the business continue.
