ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Authorities identified Brandon C. Gehris of Northampton Borough as the 24-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash in Salisbury Township Tuesday evening—his 2011 Yamaha collided with a car on South Cedar Crest Boulevard and he died from multiple blunt force injuries at 12:44 a.m. Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.  Lehigh Valley Live

CULTURE NEWS

  • Trans-Siberian Orchestra will perform at PPL Center on Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.—marking its return after missing 2024—while tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 at the box office and online. The band, famous for record sellouts, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special re-release and a signing line.  Lehigh Valley News

  • Allentown officials kicked off a $2.57 million project to restore Bogert’s Bridge by fixing its sag, repainting it, and adding a new slate roof to bring back its historic look—starting September 15 the pedestrian bridge and nearby parking lot will be closed until it reopens around August 2026.  69 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • LVHN officially dedicated the David and Jackie Jaindl Family Birth and Newborn Center at LVH Cedar Crest; renovations began last September and will finish in December to update birthing suites, waiting rooms plus nurses’ stations for better care. The center now includes a new bereavement room and a midwifery suite to serve over 3,100 annual births.  Lehigh Valley Business
