  • West Park Pacific Association and William Allen High School environmental club volunteers started a pollinator garden in Allentown—helping bees and butterflies find shelter and food. They plan to add native plants and create a space for students to gather.  69 News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving multiple vehicles occurred on Sunday near the intersection of Route 145 and Willow Road in Lehigh Township — officials reported that the total number of cars involved remains unclear.  69 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Darkness, a British rock band, will play at Archer Music Hall in Allentown on Tuesday, Sept. 9 as part of their U.S. tour. The band said their new album Dreams on Toast should have been No. 1 even though it reached No. 2 in the UK—tickets cost $45.75 or $48.05.  Lehigh Valley News
  • Today, the Allentown Art Museum is showcasing the 'Cutting Edge' exhibition featuring Arlan and Pat Christ’s 1,000-piece quilt collection that spans two centuries. The museum held a quilt turning event on Saturday — where 32 quilts including the Bethlehem Star from 1840 were displayed — and the exhibition will remain open through Oct. 26 with free admission.  Lehigh Valley News
