  • Today, Allentown officials hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at City Hall plaza at 8:30 a.m. with a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m.—Phillipsburg marks the tribute with a memorial event at Shappell Park from 9 to 10 a.m.  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Bethlehem will celebrate 80 years since World War II ended and its sister city bond with Tondabayashi, Japan on Saturday, Sept. 13. The daylong event begins at 1 p.m. at Payrow Plaza with a peace mural unveiling—followed by taiko drumming at the public library and music at Congregation Brith Sholom.  Lehigh Valley News
  • First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua welcomed its new pastor, Rev. Christian Creyer of Allentown, on Aug 24 at 3005 S.   • Morgan Freeman's Symphonic Blues Experience will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 at Lehigh University's Zoellner Arts Center. The sold-out show features young blues musicians backed by a symphonic orchestra – with Freeman's narration and multimedia storytelling to explain the history of the blues.  Lehigh Valley News
  • Rapper Cardi B will visit Spin Me Round in Palmer Park Mall on Sept 20 at 2 p.m. as part of a six-stop tour to promote her new album Am I the Drama, which releases on Sept 19—fans must pre-order the album and show proof of purchase to join the event.  Lehigh Valley News
  • The Latin Parranda will return to Miller Symphony Hall on November 29 with two sessions—one for families from 1 to 4 p.m. and one for music and dancing from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets will go on sale on September 15 on the hall’s website, and local sponsors back the event.  69 News

  • Lehigh County Commissioner Zach Cole-Borghi was arrested on drug charges last month as part of a multi-state probe but said he never sold drugs and will not resign today even as some officials support his right to due process while others call for his departure — the sealed investigation continues.  69 News
  • At a Sept. 3 council meeting, Hanover Township approved charter amendments, 2025 ballot questions, trick-or-treat plans for Oct. 31 with a rain date of Nov. 1, the replacement of three nonfunctional garage door openers, and a $109,000 water line option for Lehigh Valley Academy—council also approved Sept. 3 township bills totaling $213,976.85. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the township municipal building.  Lehigh Valley Press
