  • Northern walkingsticks were seen mating on a deck door and in local woods as their twig-like bodies help them hide from predators—an autumn behavior that marks the start of their seasonal cycle. The insects, measuring about 3 to 4 inches long, are often spotted in wooded areas and sometimes near homes during the fall.  Lehigh Valley Live
