GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Upper Macungie Fire Station 56 held a housing ceremony on Sunday to welcome two new fire trucks—a rescue pumper from 2024 and an aerial apparatus truck from this year—that the chief said will improve response time and create a safer work environment. The old trucks will be sold to departments needing replacements.  69 News
  • Steve Bamford has led the Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority for nine years—he runs daily operations and uses a special finance tool from the neighborhood law to fund local projects.
