  • Local community leaders in Lehigh Valley expressed relief after all 20 living Israeli hostages were released by Hamas as part of a ceasefire that also freed hundreds of Palestinian prisoners—this deal will bring much-needed humanitarian aid to Gaza amid two years of uncertainty for affected families.  69 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT will conduct work on I-78 east between Exit 57 and Exit 60 and on I-78 west, which will cause lane restrictions and delays starting tonight through Friday.   • During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Jessica Harper—Northampton County breast cancer survivor and coach at Orange Theory Fitness in Easton—shared her journey of recovery after a diagnosis in October, a double mastectomy, and becoming cancer-free in April; she credits fitness for giving her strength and community support.   • CBRE reported that the I-78/I-81 corridor absorbed 422,000 square feet in the third quarter while overall occupancy remained below 2024 levels.
