- ➤ United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley named Jill Wheeler as its new chief philanthropy officer—she will lead a $32M fundraising drive starting in January. - ➤ Crews are finishing final touches on Allentown's 29th annual Lights in the Parkway display, which will run daily from 5:30-10 p.m. from November 28 through January 6 with brief closures near Christmas and New Year’s. - ➤ The Allentown School District approved new design plans for the Dieruff High School practice field at 820 E. Tilghman St.—the project, costing over $15M, will add a field house, synthetic turf, portable bleachers and upgraded facilities with construction set to begin in spring. - ➤ PPL Corporation declared a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.2725 per share on Nov. 21—shareowners on record as of Dec. 10 will receive the dividend on Jan. 2, 2026. 69 News
- ➤ PPL Capital Funding priced $1 billion in 3% Exchangeable Senior Notes due 2030 and expects to take in about $989 million in net proceeds—money it will use to repay short-term debt and for general corporate purposes. The sale is set to close on Nov. 24 and includes an option for initial purchasers to buy up to an additional $150 million in notes. Lehigh Valley Business

- ➤ Pennsylvania will offer 2026 dog licenses starting December 1 to ensure pet owners meet state law—officials say a valid license helps return lost dogs and funds dog warden salaries. The annual fee is $10.80, and dogs with permanent ID can get a lifetime license for $52.80. 69 News

- ➤ An Allentown teacher, Christy King, suffered kidney failure from pregnancy complications for nearly two decades and received a new kidney last November from donor Tiffany Weigle who had nutcracker syndrome. Although Christy faced more loss when her mother died weeks later, she now recovers and says she is thankful for a second chance at life—her donor gave her hope. 69 News
