  • Jeffrey Wisnoski, Cubmaster of Pack 368 in Hanover Township, overcame many surgeries and pain by choosing a new prosthetic leg he calls his 'Jeff-proof foot' that helped him return to outdoor adventures. He celebrated his 46th birthday with the surgery in November and now leads scouts and local kids to show that hardship can be overcome — a reminder of his resilient spirit.  Lehigh Valley Live
  • Joyful Giving in Allentown is a nonprofit that makes Joy Maker bags with essential items to spread joy among local groups—run by over 3,000 volunteers under founder Hannah Votta Voleman's leadership.   • The family behind Carly’s Cause, formed after the 2023 gas explosion that killed local 20-year-old Carly Grozier, said the trial verdict has strengthened their mission to improve off-campus housing safety for college students. They will soon meet with colleges like Penn State Brandywine to share safety materials and discuss tenants’ rights—hoping to help students avoid unsafe living conditions.  WLVR

  • Firefighters battled a large blaze that consumed the Moon of Saucon Valley banquet hall at 1770 Meadows Road in Hellertown early Sunday — several departments responded — and no injuries were reported.  WLVR
  • A two-alarm fire devastated The Moon of Saucon Valley, a popular wedding venue, on Saturday, November 29 as firefighters from 20 companies battled high flames in freezing temperatures + evacuated nearby residents with no injuries reported while officials investigate the cause.  Lehigh Valley Live

  • The Ultimate Elvis 91st Birthday Experience will take place at 8 p.m. Jan. 29 at Wind Creek Event Center and will feature two tribute artists—Luzerne County’s Shawn Klush portraying older Elvis and Texas’ Moses Snow as young Elvis.
