  • Brenda Marra and her family are raising funds through December 31 for a trained guide dog to help 5-year-old Renna with mobility, calming, and social communication due to her Pitt-Hopkins syndrome—community events like a shoe drive have grown the effort across the Lehigh Valley. The fundraiser on SupportNow.Org will support Renna’s need for a service dog that boosts her independence and safety.  WLVR

  • The owner of The Moon of Saucon Valley event center plans to rebuild the venue after a fire destroyed it over the weekend—work will start soon.  69 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Country singer Parker McCollum, known for a triple-platinum hit, will headline Musikfest's Steel Stage on Aug. 7 while Grammy Award-winning soft rock group Train will perform a headlining show on Aug. 3. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the ArtsQuest website and the ArtsQuest Center box office in Bethlehem as the festival runs from July 31 to Aug. 9.  Lehigh Valley News
  • The Lehigh Valley will host a range of holiday concerts in December with events planned at Central Moravian Church on Dec 6, Muhlenberg College on Dec 6–7, Touchstone Theatre from Dec 4 to Dec 21, and other venues in Allentown and Bethlehem. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • UGI Utilities began installing a new natural gas main in Hellertown that will be completed by mid-January and will impact East High St from Main St to Easton Rd — drivers, residents, and business owners may face lane and parking restrictions during work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some service interruptions and property inspections as part of the project.  69 News

  • PSECU has a long history of providing free financial education and is now expanding its programs by partnering with local schools, colleges, and community groups to offer workshops on budgeting and credit.
