  • Firefighters are battling heavy flames at an apartment building in Whitehall Township today — crews work to contain the blaze and keep nearby residents safe.  69 News

  • U&T Asian Market, a sister business to the restaurant U&Tea, opened earlier this month at 123 E. Third St. in Bethlehem, offering fresh produce, snacks, and many imported Asian goods. Manager Alice Gatsch said inventory will grow soon.  69 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • Rigo Peralta Art Studio is hosting an exhibition that blends hyperrealism and academic realism with works by Latino artists from across the United States and Venezuela, open until February. The Friday opening drew a full house including local officials (Mayor Matt Tuerk, City Council VP Cynthia Mota).  Lehigh Valley News

  • A special flight carried 15 families from Lehigh Valley International Airport Saturday morning to the North Pole (provided by the Pediatric Cancer Foundation) where children battling illness enjoyed a magical visit with Santa.  69 News
  • Primark recalled about 1,330 two-packs of Little Bear Soother Clips on Dec. 11 after a detachable button exposed a sharp screw that posed a choking hazard, with five incidents reported. Parents are urged to stop using the clips and return them for a refund at any Primark store.  Daily Voice

  • A survey released by Coffeeness on Saturday, Dec. 13 shows residents in the state preferred French 75 cocktails, while hot chocolate topped the holiday drink list in 13 states—marking a shift in festive drink trends.  Daily Voice
