  • On Dec. 14, more than 100 residents enjoyed a revamped Santa Run at the fire station on 90 Bridge St. as local fire departments partnered with community groups to offer crafts, snacks, free photos, and hands-on visits with Santa.  Lehigh Valley Press
  • Shoppers who visited the Allentown Farmers Market on Christmas Eve picked up holiday classics and unique finds while vendors enjoyed a lively day of last-minute sales — a winter storm watch will affect parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey starting Friday afternoon.  69 News

  • Casa Catrina – a local Mexican restaurant on Brookside Road in Lower Macungie Township – announced it will close permanently after six years of service. It thanked patrons for their support and now shows as closed on Google.  WLVR

  • Reggae singer Dan Kelly, who led Fortunate Youth since 2009, will perform a solo acoustic show at 6:30 p.m. March 19 at River Rising Brewing on Willow Lane (tickets cost $35) and will be joined by Cas Haley, the America's Got Talent runner-up.  Lehigh Valley News

  • At its Dec. 9 reorganization meeting, the Catasauqua Area School District board swore in new members where Dale Hein kept his role as president + Jason Bashaw filled a vacant two-year seat, and the board set its 2026 meeting schedule.  Lehigh Valley Press
  • A Bethlehem daycare now offers a unique program teaching toddlers sign language before they speak — an initiative aimed at boosting early communication skills.  69 News

  • A sinkhole has opened at the 800 block of North Muhlenberg Street, causing a road closure in Allentown — a winter storm watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning in parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, urging drivers to delay travel.  69 News
  • A winter storm watch has been issued for parts of east and central Pennsylvania from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. Heavy snow and sleet will create icy roads that could slow travel during peak commute times.  69 News

  • On Dec. 7, a Coplay family organized a surprise holiday gathering for neighbor Kathy Daniels, who has faced health issues and undergone brain surgery. Family & friends brought over 80 gifts to show support and lift spirits during this challenging time.  Lehigh Valley Press
