About this event
The hills are alive at the Gap Theatre Sunday, November 8 at 3pm with a special SING-ALONG presentation of THE SOUND OF MUSIC (1965), presented in 35mm! Robert Wise’s beloved, Oscar-winning musical stars Julie Andrews as Maria, a free-spirited postulant sent from her convent to become governess to the seven children of stern widowed Captain Georg von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). As Maria brings music, joy and love back into the von Trapp household, she and the Captain fall in love—but with the Nazis rising to power in Austria, the family must find a way to escape to freedom. Bring your voices and sing along to all the unforgettable Rodgers & Hammerstein classics, including “Do-Re-Mi,” “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and, of course, “The Sound of Music”!
Tickets are $10.00 at the door and online at thegaptheatre.com
