About this event

***Meeting at Ralph Stover State Park, 6011 State Park Road, Pipersville, PA 18947, USA ***

***Materials limited/Registration required***

What if you could carry a bit of your local flora with you everywhere? Join a state park naturalist by the fireplace for a morning in Ralph Stover State Park. We will discuss butterfly weed and its importance to our local ecosystem while learning some basic embroidery techniques to stitch butterfly weed onto fabric.

For this program, we will meet at Pavilion 2, located nearest to the Ranger Station. Bring a fabric item from home you would like to decorate, such as a pair of jeans, a canvas bag, or sweater (no leather items; our needles cannot pierce it!). Needles and embroidery floss will be provided. Dress in warm clothes; we will be by the fireplace but there will still be a bit of a chill in November. There are pit latrines on site.

To bring: An item to embroider (no leather) and water/warm beverage of your choice; dress in layers.

Restrooms: There are pit latrines on site.

Listed by DCNR Calendar of Events (Localist), gathered by the Allentown events calendar.
