About this event
The Gap Theatre presents a 60th anniversary screening Michelangelo Antonioni’s art house classic BLOW-UP (1966) on Friday, November 20 at 9 PM in 35mm!
Starring David Hemmings, Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles, Peter Bowles, and Jane Birkin, Antonioni’s enigmatic psychological thriller follows Thomas, a successful fashion photographer whose seemingly routine work takes a sinister turn when he develops photographs taken in a London park and begins to suspect he has inadvertently captured evidence of a murder.
As Thomas enlarges and re-examines his photographs, the line between reality, perception, and imagination begins to dissolve. Winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes, BLOW-UP is a mesmerizing portrait of 1960s London and one of Antonioni’s most influential films—an essential big-screen experience from a 35mm print.
