About this event

The Last American Witch A performance by JaQuinley Kerr as convicted "witch" Elizabeth Johnson on her 329-year journey to justice. In 1692, the Puritans of Massachusetts summoned a witch hunt to save tormented children of Salem, but the trials didn't stop at the border. Soon the hysteria crawled into Andover, claiming many lives, including the life and reputation of 22-year-old Elizabeth Johnson Jr. For three centuries, she remained on The Witch Trial Papers, until a group of students decided to take action. In this 40 minute program witness dazzling local actress, JaQuinley Kerr, bring to life this gripping true story of the trials and the middle school class that changed history.
