About this event
Vincent Gallo’s unforgettable independent cult classic BUFFALO ’66 (1998) comes to the Gap Theatre in 35mm! Gallo directs, writes and stars as Billy Brown, a recently released convict who kidnaps a young tap dancer, Layla (Christina Ricci), and forces her to pose as his wife when he returns home to visit his deeply dysfunctional parents (Anjelica Huston and Ben Gazzara). Bitter, lonely and consumed by resentment, Billy is also determined to settle an old score with the Buffalo Bills kicker he blames for losing a championship game—and the unlikely relationship that develops between Billy and Layla begins to change his plans. Also starring Mickey Rourke, Rosanna Arquette and Jan-Michael Vincent, BUFFALO ’66 is a darkly comic, strange and surprisingly tender portrait of alienation, obsession and unexpected redemption. See it on the big screen in 35mm Saturday, December 5 at 9:15pm!
