The theme will be “The Lehigh Valley Bar Scene – Back in the Day.” If you were there, you might enjoy hearing about it from the perspective of the “entertainers” who stood in corners, vying for your attention above the good-time laughter and loud conversations.

Steve Whitaker has a few stories to tell!

Join Steve and his musical partner, Ed Woomer, on dobro and vocals, for an evening of songs and recollections at Dave’s Night Out. Steve has been playing guitar around the area since the late 1970s, from his early solo performances in Bethlehem bars to his current trio, At Whit’s End.

Steve has been singing and playing guitar around the area since the late 1970s, starting with a solo act in the local Bethlehem bars and continuing through his current trio, “At Whit’s End.” It's been pretty much non-stop music ever since, and it's still his favorite pastime. For the past 10 years or so, Steve has also been sharing audio narratives on social media about musicians, family, Catholic school experiences, and life as he sees it. Always combining music with spoken word, these stories have attracted a surprisingly significant fanbase. Steve also writes his own songs, which are, as he puts it, “guaranteed to keep me out of the big time.” He'll be talking about some of his Lehigh Valley influences along the way.
