Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery, BFAC Invitational Exhibition, “The Art of Pastel”

The BFAC invitational exhibit “The Art of Pastel” will feature the work of Erin Pryor Gill, Diane Horoschock, Marianne Knipe, and Jacqueline Meyerson, at the Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery from November 12 to December 22, 2026. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, November 12 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, with an artist talk at 3:00 PM. The Rotunda Gallery is located at 10 E. Church Street. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This exhibition highlights four talented pastelists who bring a distinctive vision to their craft. Erin Pryor Gill is inspired by the surrounding landscape and historic architecture in her highly detailed renderings and impressionistic plein air work. Diane Horoschock applies bright vivid colors or bold contrasts of black and white with each individual work to create the illusion of an actual photograph. Marianne Knipe’s intimate pastel work vary in subject matter ranging from landscapes, figures, or portraiture, yet always focus on nature while capturing a delicate balance of color and light. Jacqueline Meyerson is a self-taught photorealist artist/teacher whose exquisite still life work becomes hyper-realistic views of common everyday objects, causing the viewer to question whether what they are seeing is drawn or captured. This exhibit celebrates these four remarkable female artists and the enduring media of pastels.
