About this event
Get ready for a holiday road trip from hell when John Hughes’ beloved comedy classic PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES (1987) comes to the Gap Theatre in 35mm! Steve Martin and John Candy star as two complete strangers thrown together on a disastrous cross-country journey after a Thanksgiving flight home goes horribly wrong. As uptight ad man Neal Page (Martin) desperately tries to get home to his family, relentlessly cheerful shower-curtain-ring salesman Del Griffith (Candy) proves to be the travel companion from hell—and, eventually, an unlikely friend. A hilarious, heartfelt holiday favorite from writer-director John Hughes, PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES screens Sunday, November 22 at 3pm and Friday, November 27 at 5pm, both in 35mm!
Tickets are $10 at the door and online at thegaptheatre.com
Showtime at 3pm on Sunday, Nov. 22 & 5pm on Friday, Nov. 27.
Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
