About this event
Join us for a virtual exploration of Beltzville State Park, where we will decode the waterway from the surface down. This program offers a visual tour of the lake's expansive top-water features and shorelines, blending the park’s history with a detailed look at its physical environment.
Because we cannot see the lakebed directly, we will rely on official surveyed maps from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission to reveal what lies hidden beneath the surface. We will teach you how to interpret depth contours, navigate steep drop-offs, and use map markers to pinpoint purposely placed artificial fish habitats—such as submerged porcupine cribs and brush piles from above. To wrap up, we will identify the specific gamefish and panfish that rely on these deeper structures and break down the specialized tackle and rigging strategies you will need to successfully target them on your next trip.
The virtual program link will be sent to all registered participants prior to the program.
